Faces Of Angels
Faces Of Angels was founded through the process of my own grief in 2014.
When our children were born, we naturally took many pictures to be shared with our family. However, when a mom delivers a baby that unexpectedly passes away, she may not take the time to capture those precious moments. Her heart, mind, and tears are encompassed with grief and she neglects simple details that impact her emotionally after the first few days. When a mother knows that her baby will not live, or even worse, has passed away before she delivers, the camera is rarely in her suitcase. Again, the mother and father are consumed with grief. Taking photos may seem unusual or unthinkable. A baby is a baby, a life is a life. Whether that mother carries her baby full term, or her pregnancy ends abruptly, her baby will always be her child.
Taking a few moments to respectfully and quietly capture photos of their baby by a professional who understands, can actually help the healing process to begin. My services are FREE to bereaved families. My time is donated to speak with grieving families, listening to them speak of their child, and finally take those thousand words and place it into a frame ~ a set of pictures that will be cherished for years to come.
Some grieving parents may feel that they will not need this service immediately after their loss, but there are things that cannot be replaced. Memories fade, tiny fingers will be hard to recall, and that moment in time will be lost. Photos are a way to remember, to cherish, and to continue a life that has ended too soon.
