This book tells the story of a hurting family, an amazing little girl and a mysteriously faithful God. Emily wasn't born perfect - so one might think.
She was born with Down Syndrome and many would jump to the conclusion that she would have very little hope for a life with any significance. Two years later came the diagnosis of leukemia. What little hope remaining turned to no hope whatsoever - or so one might think.
The life of this little girl, with all its perceived imperfections, had great meaning. Her loving nature and courage touched the hearts of everyone she met. She also taught them how to value their own lives - even with their many "imperfections."
Note: A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will help families with special needs children, those who are battling pediatric cancers, as well as parents grieving the loss of a little one.
Matt Patterson's book, My Emily, is available on Amazon.com , or through his website, My Emily.

An inspiring story of faith, courage and strength in God!
It happened approximately 10 years after the account. One night I was watching a televised program when the question was asked “Does God still perform miracles today as He did in the bible days?” As I thought of the question, I felt that much more was being asked than what was stated. I drew the conclusion that the question that was really being asked was “does God still do those things that defy human logic and understanding” like He demonstrated in the bible days. To be healed of cancer, which I recently have been as of March 2008, could be attributed to human intervention. Someone getting approval for a home or auto loan when their financial status is not favorable can be credited to a man made decision. The parting of the red sea or the Israelites having a cloud cover them by day and a pillar of fire to illuminate their way at night defies human logic and reasoning. As I thought of my own experience, I was compelled to share my miracles. When asked how many mines did we walk through, to have an ordinance officer pour table salt into the palm of his hand and throw it on a table as a depiction of what we encountered is grounds enough to express my experience for the purpose of exercising ones reasoning. Why would he (the officer) do that? Why did he say it was so many mines that they stopped the search, sealed off a radius and deemed the area unsafe to travel? Why didn’t any of the mines detonate? With so many land mines present, were they all defective? Why was I allowed to transition through heavily infested mine fields on multiple occasions without harm? I challenge anyone to place these encounters in a category that can be credited to human intervention. Therefore, by my own experience alone I boldly proclaim, the answer is “YES.” God does work miracles today like He did in the bible days.

Mommy, Please Don't Cry.......
Mommy, Please Don't Cry is a book of love and comfort for mothers who have experienced the deep sorrow of losing a child. Serene illustrations frame gentle words that describe heaven from a child's perspective. With room for the reader's personal reflections at the end of the book, every page is a poignant gift of hope and healing. "Our stories are all different, but our pain is the same," writes Linda. "We are mothers who will forever grieve the loss of our children. And yet, there is hope for our troubled souls."
Linda DeYmaz, her husband, Mark, and their four children live in Little
Rock, where Mark is a pastor of the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas. On
Easter morning of 1995 their little daughter was stillborn. Linda, the author
of two books, believes that God sent Ali Grace to enrich her life and give her
a glimpse of heaven.
